1986 Fluidised bed firing for disrtict heating plant

Cornel. Schmidt GmbH & Co KG, after building combustion equipment for decades, Cornel. Schmidt GmbH & Co KG, has delivered in 1986 a hot water boiler with fluidised bed combustion for the heating plant of EBV (Eschweiler Bergwerksverein) for their district heating system. In this unit low volatile coal from the EBV mine is used.

This was the first time, when the patented system for special part load in fluidised bed units was employed. The patent documentation can be downloaded from the German patent office under the following number: DE 3437 486 A1.
